Building Numbers
Westonletters are awesome. Very easy to buy and install. Nuetra continues to have a huge influence on graphics and design here in the studio. Wesnic is glueing up the huge family style tables for ChoLon. Mentor Graphics Exterior Design is making Progress and we had a funny moment at the Griffis Group Charity Grand Prix event worth posting.

Sculpting
What a busy weekend for the Lemonade Stand. Starting with a few touch ups to the Spire Dog Park with a Paw Path and new Hose for washing down Fido when needed. Patrick Gerace put together a modified Paint Stamp to create a path to and from the park in order to delineate and caution drivers and pets as the cross paths. Then the sculpting fun began when I was finally able to get my hands on a skid steer and work on building a bicycle track in the, "Back 40" as Jenny says as well as the Fire pit. Images in the future when it is complete. Also attended a charity event GRIFFIS GROUP Show Jumping Invitational Charity Event August 21st, 2010 and was blown away by the quality of event that the put on. Impressive to see the horses and to meet the Griffis Group and relax and enjoy a spectacular place and moment in time.

Dog Paws, Study Models, OAC's and Sketches
Even in the toughest years of design and architecture I have ever seen and probably will ever see there is room for creativity. Problem solving is creative thinking and I hope we can find a way to be more sustainable as the economy creeps out of the meltdown. This week was incredible.
Read a great article/ interview that struck a cord about how the design world and people evolve,
Meet the Minds Behind Restaurant Design - Lisa Pope-Westerman, Lisa Pope nails a few great points and perspectives. Worth a ten minute read.
Ok off to hang with the kids in the mountains and breath some fresh air.

ChoLon Bistro, the inaugural modern Asian restaurant by executive chef Lon Symensma, will open in downtown Denver early October in the SugarCube building. ChoLon is the first restaurant from Flow Restaurant Group, founded by Symensma and his partners, Alicia Pokoik Deters and Jim Deters. ChoLon, which translates to "big market," is named after the largest Chinese-influenced market in Saigon, Vietnam. Symensma, formerly of Buddakan and Spice Market in New York City, will showcase his passion for Asian ingredients and French cooking techniques in a striking and eco-friendly environment designed by Studio Lemonade. The venue features a bar and lounge and is an ideal setting for business meetings and presentations, thanks to a large projection screen in the lounge area. hospitalitydesign
