Michelle Kaufmann is my new favorite in the world of design. Even in the toughest of times she and her teams are creating what I would call the right direction of sustainable and cool. Cool design can be sustainable. This is where it is headed. I commend her and the efforts and wish I would have caught her her in Denver tonight. Bummer. Looks like we might be checking out some of the same stuff as well on inhabitat and Tree Hugger. Check out her blog and the great work.

Solar Forest
Straight from The Tree Hugger Blog
Designer Neville Mars has designed a charging station that keeps your car both cool and charged.
Called the Solar Forest, the panels actually follow the sun throughout the day for maximum efficiency. And that canopy provides some much needed shade for the cars below, hopefully while keeping the overlap to a minimum.
The tree trunks are like a giant power strips for electric vehicles. Cars can just plug in and cool off.

Boulders Remodel
Finally: As with most design it seems like forever before the actual construction begins. This will be a small, but refined interior remodel of an early 1980's Clubhouse in Boulder. Clean simple and sophisticated with a splash of energy in the Yoga and exercise rooms. The Griffis Group is the client and Capex Construction will be contracting the finish out.
